The evil Asakku stood up like a tsunami.
Dressed with the glow of terror, he falls onto the great earth.
Wrapped in a shining dress, he has an appearance that causes fright.
He rushes through the streets, is set free in the lanes.
He stands behind a man, nobody can see him.
He sits with a man, nobody can see him.
If he enters a house, nobody knows his form.
When he leaves the house, nobody will remember him.
He, Asakku, has covered the river like the flood, whose surface spreads widely.
Thus Asakku has covered his brood with a garment, spread them like flax.
He has caused confusion in the depts, filled the valleys with a terrible flood,
within he lights fire and cooks fish.
Does he throw his net towards the sky.
The Lord of the birds throw he down like a storm.
He took the capricorn at ist head and ist horns,
took the wild goat of the mountains at its fur,
tamed and broke the ox of the fields.
Has slain the cattle of Sumukanis at the pastures.
Has brought confusion into the houses of the people.
